During this time, your health is our utmost priority. To ensure your well-being, we are doing everything we can to provide you with a simple and safe home improvement experience. Learn more about the precautions we’re taking below.

COVID-19 Update: 6/16/20

With businesses reopening around the country, we want to use this time to notify you of recent updates to our COVID-19 policies. Although we have adjusted certain aspects of our operation, this remains a fluid situation. We will continue to monitor the developments of this pandemic and heed the recommendations set forth by state and local governments, as well as the CDC and WHO, to ensure the safety of our communities. Our Showroom Is Open

Our on-site showroom is open for regular business hours. For your safety, we will continue to limit capacity inside our facility and require all occupants to maintain at least six feet of distance from one another. Additionally, our team will be conducting regular deep cleanings of all Window World products on display and other high-traffic areas and surfaces.

Free In-Home Estimates Are Available

We continue to offer free in-home estimates as an option for homeowners. The same social distancing and sanitation measures we implemented months ago remain intact. You can learn more about the safety precautions we’re taking inside the home via our initial update at the bottom of this page.

We Are Still Offering Virtual Consultations

In late March, we began offering virtual consultations to provide homeowners the same best-in-class service from the safety and convenience of home. Installation Projects Continue

While the majority of our installation services occur on the exterior of the home, we have implemented numerous sanitation and social-distancing measures to ensure the safety of you and your family. Scroll down to our initial update below to learn more about our updated installation process.

Our COVID-19 Announcement

Dear All,

The health and safety of you and our staff will always be our number one priority.

As news about the current COVID-19 virus continues to develop, please know that we are carefully monitoring the situation and doing our very best to make sure that Window World team members deliver the safest experience possible for you and your families.

We continue to follow the direction and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Federal and NY government.

On Friday 3/20/2020 Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered nonessential businesses to keep 100% of their workforce at home, and he put in place stringent new restrictions on New Yorkers as the state grapples with the current coronavirus outbreak in the U.S.

As a result, we are mandated to take extra precautions with running our business and servicing our customers. This is to best protect both our staff and customers alike:

  • The Window World of Long Island office at 33 Hempstead Turnpike Farmingdale, NY 11735 will be closed to all customers and all staff.
  • We will take this closure as an opportunity to take an additional precaution to sanitize the entire office to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing. We are following all the CDC’s recommended best practices for killing germs and lessening the chance of transmitting the virus.
  • We are temporarily cancelling all scheduled in-home design consultant appointments, all installations, and all services. We will resume them immediately once we are permitted. We will try our best to accommodate emergency services only, if possible.
  • All products in warehouse will be held at this time until we resume normal business operations. We will also not be receiving any deliveries for products at this time.
  • We will have limited remote access to answer any questions. We will respond to all e-mails and phone messages as soon as possible. Please submit any warranty requests via our website. Warranty matters will be handled as soon as we resume normal business functions.

It is our ultimate goal to make you feel as comfortable as possible during this uncertain time. We will continue to do our absolute best when it comes to ensuring the safety of both our team members and our customers, and we will deliver any relevant updates regarding our strategies for handling the COVID-19 virus as they become available.

Our In-Home Estimate Sanitation Standards

When entering your home, it’s our job to create an environment that’s safe and comfortable for both you and our staff. Here is what you can expect from us inside your home.

Avoid Physical Contact

Our technicians and representatives will refrain from shaking hands or any physical contact during your consultation.

Flexible Rescheduling

If you are not feeling well on your scheduled appointment date, contact us, and we’ll be happy to reschedule your consultation.

Sanitize Materials

Before entering your home, our team members thoroughly wash their hands and sanitize any products and materials.

Room-to-Room Isolation

As we take measurements throughout your home, we’ll notify you each time we change rooms so you and your family can relocate as needed.


How We’ve Evolved Our Installation Process

Although the majority of our installation services occur on the exterior of your home, your safety remains our #1 priority. That’s why we’ve taken several additional precautions to fully protect you and your family on installation day.

Necessary Rescheduling

If your assigned installer is not feeling well on the day of your installation, we’ll contact you and reschedule your appointment.

Social Distancing

Should we need to enter your home, our technicians will remain at least six feet from you and your family members.

Proper Isolation

If inside your home, you will be notified ahead of time so you can self-isolate in a room separate from your installer.
